Toronto’s Most Intimate & Inspiring AI Conference
In July 2019, Analytics by Design (ABD) will be welcoming over 500 industry practitioners, business leaders, government representatives, and scholars at the TIFF Bell Lightbox for its second annual conference.
The one-day event will focus on the impact of emerging technologies like artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and other disruptive technologies (Robotic Process Automation and 5G) on businesses, governments, and society at large.
This year’s conference topics are centered around the higher calling for artificial intelligence and what a society needs to do to be prepared. Analytics for Good is a topic that focuses on challenging leaders in various areas to think critically on how and what technology can improve the public welling being. CIBC’s Chief Analytics Officer, Mr. Terry Hickey, will open up the discussions on “AI for Good”, followed by a panel that consists of representation from Sickkids, Data for Good, LoyaltyOne, and Sustainalytics.
The second topic of the conference is the Future of Work. This emphasizes the societal implications of artificial intelligence and automation on the workforce. Alan Lepofsky, the Vice President Evangelism for Digital Workplace at Salesforce, and Lori Bieda, Head of Analytics Centre of Excellence at BMO, will share their journey on driving workforce transformation in this AI era.
The afternoon sessions focus on the practical applications of these emerging technologies, including topics like AI & Tech Superpowers and Scaled AI. The speakers include Shelby Austin, Managing Partner & Head of Omnia AI at Deloitte, Mike Branch from Geotab, and Pavel Abdur-Rahman, Head of Data Science at IBM.
The conversation will conclude with a Customer Experience Re-Imagined Panel. This will focus on the relationship between individuals and AI. The panel will consist of Steve Woods, CTO at Nudge.ai, Alison Simpson, former Chief Marketing Officer at TMX, and many other experts. They will unveil customer expectations influenced by the AI movement and the responsibilities companies need to take going forward.
